🌿 Casa Suaya Community Workshops – La Esperanza

Living Roots to Strengthen Rural Life

🌱 A Shared Learning Space

At Casa Suaya, we are creating a learning space where the Kichwa language, music, everyday cooking, and knowledge of native medicinal plants come together to strengthen community life and care for the land.

The workshops are free for participants. They aim to share knowledge rooted in respect, cooperation, and a balanced relationship with nature. Through them, we seek to make better use of available food in each household, improve family nutrition, support healthy growth in children, and provide special care for the elderly.

We also provide a space for the wise elders of the community to share their knowledge of native medicinal plants, including their recognition, care, and responsible use, fostering their presence in homes.

Each workshop is an opportunity to strengthen family life, gain practical tools for daily well-being, and discover, as a community, a clearer and more enthusiastic way to face life’s challenges.

🌾 Sustainable Use and Distribution of Donations

Donations ensure that the workshops remain free and accessible to all families in the community.

Resources are distributed equitably among workshop facilitators, maintenance of the space, and support for participants to apply what they learn at home.
