🌿
Casa Suaya – La Esperanza
Living Roots to Strengthen Rural Life
🌱
At Casa Suaya, we continuously develop a community learning space, aimed at strengthening rural life and caring for the land.
Through open and free workshops, we promote the meeting of traditional knowledge and everyday practices, contributing to family and community well-being.
Workshop Focus Areas
-
Kichwa language
-
Music and cultural expression
-
Everyday cooking and family nutrition
-
Native medicinal plants and health care
These workshops are flexible, allowing new skills and knowledge to be incorporated over time according to the needs and interests of the community, and encouraging participation of elders and community wise people, preserving living traditions in homes and territory.
Community Impact
The workshops aim to:
-
Make the most of available food in each household
-
Improve family nutrition and healthy growth of children
